The holidays are here, which is a time for tradition when it comes to the endless parties and family dinners that the season brings. So if you’re cooking for a party and want to indulge in some classic cooking, be sure to visit Bonnie Slotnick’s Cookbook Store, a haven for vintage cookbook lovers.

Located in Greenwich Village, the store is the perfect place to find that one recipe your grandmother used to whip up or to just simply enjoy the Old World charm the store exudes. The store is covered with shelves, jam-packed with books from as old as the eighteenth century.

Slotnick has collected vintage cookbooks since 2000. The store boasts a huge collection of Betty Crocker cookbooks as well as books featuring dog and baby food recipes as well as cooking for special occasions. Most of the books Slotnick carries are now out of print. Prices depend on the age of the book and can range from $5 to $100. Also, if you’re looking for a specific title, just visit or call Slotnick and she’ll be happy to find it for you.
